Camden Town

Camden Town is probably one of my favorite place to go out in London. There is something about that place that makes me feel like home. I know that sounds a bit weird but is so true. If you been there then, you know that Camden is a place with huge history in music and arts in general. In fact many great artist started from or played there such as Amy Winehouse, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, The Sex Pistols, David Bowie, The Ramones, The Clash, Blondie, Joy Division, Madness, The Smiths, Blur, Oasis, Pulp, The Libertines, Adele, Elton John, The Artic Monkeys, The Queen, Arcade Fire, Lady Gaga, Prince etc.
So as the music capital of London,Camden is full of artist and is probably the most eccentric place in London. You can turn up there wearing something absolutely ridiculous no one will stare you, is actually pretty normal there. Is like the Burning man of Europe.

During the day, you can visit the famous markets, there are 3 big ones, where you can find unique things and also visit the little designer shops. You also have to try the market food where you can find food from every corner of the world, from Brazil to Pakistan, every country, you name it, is there. After lunch, you can have coffee at Starbucks's rooftop and enjoy the scenery or go for a stroll at the regent's park.

At night things get pretty wild. The club kids are out ready to party.
As you may know Camden is pretty famous for it's wild nightlife and the iconic pubs. Few of my personal faves are probably the Underworld, Camden Earl, Camden Head etc. The Underworld what can I say about that pub, besides that is pure ROCK hence pure Camden, so if you are into rock music you gotta go there and is also a club downstairs. Another favorite hang out is the Camden Earl I was there few days ago, the food is amazing and reasonably cheap, same as drinks music varies from pop to rock. My personal favorite is the Camden Head I love the rock atmosphere, the music is awesome and you can dance after 10pm, so a great place for pre-drinks.
If you wanna experience the whole Camden nightlife you have to go to proud club in the stables yup inside the horse stables there is a club and is f*cking awesome. It's massive it has different music in every room they play different music, there is also hot tub so if you wanna get naked here is your chance.
Koko is also one of my faves, it looks like theater inside, is pretty big. Kanye West was playing there just last week, Madonna also performed there. Every week they do different music nights so if you are into pop you should go on Fridays and if you like Indie rock on Saturdays.
Another club I love is the Electric ballroom, I spent most of my student nights there. Similarly to the other clubs they do different music nights, they have metal nights, pop nights, electro nights so pick your fave.
As I said before things get pretty wild in Camden so be cautious, if someone offers you "red sugar", "taxi" or "food" please say no, unless you are up for a trip (if ya know what I mean).
